The pathways around school are still not accessible so the plans to dismiss the pupils are as follows.
Nursery + older brothers and sisters are all to be collected from the Nursery Classroom.
Reception + older brothers and sisters are all to be collected from the Reception Classroom.
Year 1 & Year 2 + older brothers and sisters are all to be collected from the school hall via the main entrance. A one-way system will be in operation so you will leave by the door at the end of the corridor next to the hall (The Nest entrance). If you have a pushchair and the one-way system is a problem then we will ask you to wait until the others have been dismissed and you can exit the way you came in.
Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 will all be dismissed from the lower playground. To avoid blockages on the pathways, we ask that once the gates are open, you come onto the lower playground and wait.
The Nest - all pupils are to be collected from Hazel House. If they have younger brothers or sisters, they will NOT be with them as per the arrangements above. I would suggest you collect younger children first, then head to Hazel House. This will give the crowds a chance to disperse from the bottom playground.
St Oswald’s After-School Club – you will already have received communication, but the only entry point will be the lower playground. You will then need to climb the stairs and follow the perimeter of the building until you reach the mobile classrooms where after-school club is held. You will need to exit the same way.
THESE ARRANGEMENTS MEAN THAT YOU WILL NOT BE REQUIRED TO BE IN TWO PLACES FOR COLLECTION AT THE SAME TIME (WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE NEST – SEE ABOVE)
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
