From September 2021, we will be taking a slightly different approach with the offer of after-school
sports clubs to provide a sustainable model moving forward.
An external provider, Premier Active, will be letting the school hall and outdoor facilities and offering a
variety of sports clubs for pupils of all ages. The link will take you to their website, where you can find
out more about them.Premier Active
Premier Active will be solely responsible for the bookings, payments, planning and delivery of the
sessions, supervision and safeguarding of the pupils in the same way that other providers of sporting
activities would be. We will just be the letting agents. As part of the lettings process, we have completed
our due diligence, met with the providers and ensured that all staff will have the relevant safeguarding
qualifications. We will also share any relevant school policies with them. It is important to note that
whilst school staff are likely to be on site during these clubs, they will not be responsible for the
supervision of the children during the session or the dismissal of the children at the end of the session.
Staff will ensure that pupils get to the hall at the end of the day, ready to start their session. We will be
asking pupils to wear their school PE kit on club days, to ensure that pupils get the maximum time
engaging with their activity and to eliminate the need for pupils to get changed.
The clubs will last for six weeks and every half-term they will change so during the year, pupils will have
a wide variety of sporting activities to engage with.
If your child is in receipt of Pupil Premium, financial support will be available. Please contact Mrs Hadley
directly to discuss.
