There is an extended schools provision run by an external provider - St Oswalds and is based in school grounds. St Oswalds aim to provide a safe and secure and relaxed environment, offering a range of activities to reflect the interests of the children in their care.
The club is open from 7.00am – 8. 45am and 3.20pm – 6.00pm, weekdays, during term time. St Oswalds will also be running a holiday club provision during most of the school holidays.
They are situated in the mobile classrooms, on the Key Stage 1 playground and enjoy the outdoor facilities that the school offers. The term time provision is for Beaconside pupils only. The invitation is extended to all local children for the school holiday provision.
A healthy breakfast is provided for those attending the morning session. Children can choose to eat breakfast at home before they join us.
The food provided after school is not intended as a substitute for a main evening meal, it is simply a snack to fill a gap until tea time. Fresh drinking water is available at all times.
When attending holiday clubs, children are required to bring a packed lunch and snacks for mid-morning and late afternoon.
