Beaconside offers full time Nursery provision enabling children to attend from a choice of mornings, afternoons, full days or a range of sessions at times to suit.
At Beaconside Primary & Nursey school we believe that children learn best when they feel loved and secure. We recognise that children learn through play and, as they begin the first chapter of their school journey, they need exciting and interesting environments which address their needs and nurtures a love for learning.
Our Nursery consists of a lovely bright room which is well resourced with a wide range of learning opportunities to foster children’s natural curiosity and promote independence. Our exciting outdoor environment provides children with lots of challenge to encourage physical development and an interest in learning about, and working with nature.
Our experienced and friendly team is led by our Nursery teacher Mrs Suzanne Williams, who, as a fully qualified teacher will provide the children with a range of experiences which can be built on and developed during their time with us. Mrs Williams is supported by Nursery assistants, Mrs Cathy Brindley and Miss Courtney Battson.
Nursery Admissions
Children become eligible for our Nursery when they reach their third birthday. For the majority of children they would start with us in the term after they turn three.
Most children complete Nursery between the ages of 3 and 4 before starting in Reception the following year. However if places and provision allows, we are able to admit children from the start of the term that they are due to have their third birthday. This is known as 'rising threes' - please contact the school office for further information.
We have a morning and an afternoon Nursery at Beaconside and we also offer a number of full time days, wrap around care is also available.
To apply for a place in Nursery please fill in an admissions form available below or from the School Office.
