Our Learning so far...
In science, we studied the adaptations of tropical plants. We closely observed and discussed the plants’ features.
We also experimented with ways to separate pebbles and sand from a solution of salt and water.
In arithmetic, we applied our knowledge and learning of place value to different games, quizzes and brain-teasers.![]()
In DT, we built programs for a micro:bit to act as a compass and also as a pedometer in the on-line MakeCode editor. After building the code, we downloaded it to the physical micro:bit and tested out our programs.
In Spanish, we completed a survey, asking and answering questions about our favourite sports.
In DT, we explored the properties of different materials and used a pattern to cut shapes accurately from felt.
In science, we worked collaboratively to design and make board games using magnets.
In Spanish, we played 'piedra, papel, tijeras' (rock, paper, scissors), to decide who read their Spanish sentences first.
