OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) is a project we have started here at Beaconside that is dedicated to improving the quality of play for all children. Children in primary schools spend 20% (or 1.4 years) in play, so a strategic and values based approach to play is vital to children's development.
We are at the beginning of our OPAL project at Beaconside. We will use this page of our website to document the changes and development of both the grounds and its development, but to also to show the children's play.
