Beaconside After School Club

Our 'After School Club' has been set up to offer quality child care after normal school hours. It is organised by and employs non-teaching staff already working at the school.

Who can come to The After School Club?

The club is open to all pupils who are registered at Beaconside Primary and Nursery School provided there are places available.

When and where is The After School Club?

The club runs from the end of afternoon school (3.20pm) until 6.00pm. It operates from the mobile classroom building at the rear of Year 2. If the weather is fine the playground is used.

What is on offer?

There are toys, games and craft activities. When fine, games will be outside and there is a television and video for the bad weather. Although it is  relaxation time for pupils there is the opportunity for quieter activities such are reading or homework if required. Snacks and drinks will be provided for those staying for the full session but if you want your child to have more than this you can provide a packed tea.

We want the children to feel safe, happy and enjoy themselves - but we expect them to follow the school code of behaviour which encourages cooperation and respect for one another.

What does it cost?

Up to 4.30pm: £3.30

Up to 5pm: £4.60

Up to 6pm: £7.50

(£1 reduction on these prices for additional siblings)

How do I book?

Collect and complete a registration form from the school office or direct from the After School staff. You can then enrol your child for places as required. Places are limited on a first come, first served basis but you can book in advance. When the club is full a waiting list will be kept.
