• Children who have reached their 3rd birthday on or before 31st August can be admitted at the beginning of the Autumn Term - spending 3 terms in Nursery.
• Children who have reached their 3rd birthday on or before 31st December can be admitted at the beginning of the Spring Term - spending 5 terms in Nursery.
• Children who have reached their 3rd birthday on or before 31st March can be admitted at the beginning of the Summer Term

Admission to Reception is in September at the start of the school year in which the child has his/her 5th birthday. This is a once a year admission date open to all parent

Our Starting School Programme

Parents/Carers are invited to a New Parents Evening during the second part of the Summer Term prior to the term in which their children start school.The children will be invited to visit the school at the end of the Summer Term, ready for them starting in September. Children in Reception can start full time in September, or parents may choose for their child to attend part-time for the first two weeks. Children in Nursery attend part-time in small groups building up to larger groups over six weeks, giving them a gradual introduction to five mornings per week.

In addition to attending Nursery, children can attend Rubery Pre-School following the morning session, as we have a partnership arrangement in place with the Pre-School who provide opportunities for pre-school children to enjoy 'wrap around' care from 11.45 a.m.-3.15 p.m. Please ask in school for details.
